These terms apply to the current free Church Grants Australia information service. They do not cover future paid services, accounts, grant alerts, supplier introductions or application submission.
1. The service
Church Grants Australia provides general grant discovery, original summaries, official-source links and browser-based readiness guidance for Australian churches and faith organisations. Every published grant record must have an official source, a source-check date, a verification status and a plain-language source note.
2. Not a funder or professional adviser
Church Grants Australia is not a funder and does not decide eligibility, awards or payments. Its content is general guidance, not legal, financial, tax, accounting or grant-assessment advice and not a determination that an organisation or project is eligible.
The funder's current guidelines, application documents and decision control. Contact the funder or an appropriately qualified adviser where a rule or its application is uncertain.
3. Check before acting
Grant details can change without notice. Before spending money, starting work or applying, check the linked official source and confirm:
- the current round and deadline;
- the correct applying entity and any ABN, incorporation, charity or DGR requirement;
- location, project and expenditure eligibility;
- the amount, co-contribution and evidence rules; and
- property-owner, denominational, governing-body and regulatory approvals.
Status and uncertainty labels form part of the guidance and must not be disregarded.
4. Accuracy, corrections and availability
We use official sources, independent second-person review, source-check dates and explicit uncertainty, but do not promise that every record will remain complete, current or suitable for a user's circumstances.
Records may be corrected, marked stale, archived or removed. Use /corrections to report a possible error. We aim to acknowledge material reports within two business days and prioritise urgent deadline, round-status and eligibility issues. Contact the funder directly as well where a decision is urgent.
The service may be unavailable for maintenance, faults or security work.
5. Responsible use
You must not:
- interfere with, probe, damage or bypass service controls;
- use automation in a way that unreasonably burdens the service or ignores published permissions;
- republish a substantial part of the curated database or original material without permission;
- infringe rights or use the service unlawfully;
- fabricate outcomes, partners, quotations, evidence or consultation;
- submit unnecessary sensitive beneficiary, pastoral or religious information; or
- present AI-generated material as verified evidence.
6. Intellectual property and sources
The provider or its licensors own the site design, original summaries, taxonomies and original materials. Funders and other source owners retain rights in official guidelines and source material. Linking does not transfer those rights.
You may use the public site for internal grant research. This does not permit bulk extraction, resale, systematic republication or removal of source attribution.
7. Third-party links
Funders and other third parties control their own content, decisions, terms and privacy practices. A link does not imply endorsement or a commercial relationship unless clearly disclosed.
8. Editorial independence
Payment, sponsorship, referral arrangements and ownership interests must not influence organic grant ranking or eligibility interpretation. No paid listing, sponsorship or affiliate feature is active at the effective date. Any future paid or materially related relationship must be disclosed clearly where a user may rely on it.
9. Consumer rights and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, remedy, guarantee or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
To the extent permitted by law, the provider is not responsible for a funding decision, a missed or changed deadline, expenditure committed before official confirmation, or loss caused by relying on a summary instead of the current funder source. This does not limit responsibility that cannot legally be limited.
10. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains the limited information processed through hosting, Analytics and the corrections/contact form. Information supplied to us may be used to operate, respond to and improve the service. It is not sold.
11. Changes
The provider may update the service and these terms. The current version and effective date will be published. Features involving accounts, alerts, payments or another continuing relationship require feature-specific terms and notices before launch.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and applicable Commonwealth laws. Subject to rights that cannot be excluded, disputes are subject to the courts of South Australia.
